Firstly HELLO and THANK YOU for choosing a Dazzling Pamper Party! I live in Devon with my boyfriend Marty, cat Purrdy and dogs Minnie & Mabel; My favourite colour is rainbow and I eat way too much pizza and sandwiches! I believe laughter can heal wounds that can't be seen and have a crazy shoe obsessions (I have over 100 pairs!) I have been running Dazzling Pamper Parties since 2008. I developed my passion for working with children when I was just 16 and worked as a party and den supervisor at the local children's 'Deep Sea Den'. I would have a whale of a time accidentally falling in the ball pools and loved making the children laugh! I knew that I wanted a career that would make people laugh and feel happy. Fast forward a few years where I had trained for my holistic beauty therapy and teenage beauty specialist diplomas. I quickly realised that although I loved to work within the beauty trade - it still wasn't where my heart was. I then went to University to become a Paediatric Occupational Therapist! It was during my first year placement at the hospital where I started Dazzling Pamper Parties. I knew I wanted to work with children and make them smile. I knew how important social inclusion is for children and how much a party can impact on their friendship groups. I also have had experience first hand at what it is like to hold parties at home for my then step-daughter- and to do everything was incredibly stressful! Dazzling Pamper Parties was designed around being affordable and stress-free for parents whilst being fun for children - and of course making them feel like the special princesses they are! Because they are designed to be carried out at home for groups as small as 4 means that even the more socially distant children can take part and enjoy their party. Once I was up and running the parties became an instant hit! After my second year at Uni I decided my heart was no longer there, however still had a passion for helping people . During the years I have also worked in care settings as a support worker and enabler and have obtained my DBS certification. As well as being able to help children to enjoy their birthday parties I also worked as an activities and events manager for a local charity working with children and young adults with profound and multiple learning difficulties. After relocating to Bovey Tracey I also changed job as an activities coordinator for a residential home working with older people with dementia. This is equally a rewarding job which I absolutely love! When I'm not busy pampering or working I love spending time with my friends, their children and my family. I love nature and going on lovely walks around the moors and exploring lots of beaches! When i'm not feeling lazy I also love getting out on my bike! I even cycled from Vietnam to Cambodia back in 2013! As well as exploring the local Devon and Cornwall Delights, I love to go on HOLIDAY!! I have been lucky enough to visit lots of places around the globe but there are so many places to explore - i'm just going to keep having fun enjoying as many as I can! Well that's enough about me! Pretty in Pink party For the girls who LOVE pink, this is the perfect pink and sparkly party for her and her friends! The Party... On arrival everybody will be shown in to the pink pampering area complete with a cosy corner with snuggly squishmellows, cushions, throws, sweets and games/ activity pages/ colouring. The birthday girl will receive a pink sparkly birthday headband and everyone will receive a pink candyfloss mocktail. ​ We will then get to know each other with some questions such as everyone's favourite hobbies and colours! ​ Each person will then have pink nail polish on their fingers, followed by a pink glitter tattoo of their choice. The Party... On arrival the birthday girl will receive a sparkly cat ear headband to keep and everyone will be given a blinged out foam microphone to look after for the duration of the party. ​ We will sit in the crafting area and get to know each other by sharing our favourite colours, animal and hobbies. ​ Everyone will then take it in turns to have their finger nails painted and some sparkly glitter on their face and lipstick. While everyone is waiting their turn, they will decorate their own heart shaped 'swifty-style' sunglasses with lots of lovely gems, that they then can take home and look extra snazzy! Once everyone has had their turn, we will then go on a treasure hunt before playing a selection of games until the end of the party as they take to the stage with their microphones and lip sync/ sing to their favourite song (birthday girl's choice)and show off their new stylish sunglasses. Of course everyone wins a prize and certificate to take home! ​ The Price... £110 for 4 children (1hr 10mins) £120 for 5 children (1hr 15mins) £130 for 6 children (1hr 20mins) ​ Please allow up to 2 hours for up to 12 children. If there are less children at the party, you will be refunded the difference so you don't need to worry if there are any no-shows on the day. Adverse Weather Notice! Unfortunately there may be rare occasions where due to ice, snow, strong winds, flooding etc that I will not be able to get to you for your party. I will try to get to you no matter what as I hate to let anybody down - especially children on their birthdays! Unfortunately my fairy magic doesn't stretch far enough to sort the weather and there might be times I can't get out to you safely. In the event that I cannot get to you for your party, I will contact you at the earliest opportunity that I can to inform you. Unfortunately for those who have morning parties, this could mean only a couple of hours notice for which I deeply apologise for in advance. ​ If this does happen you can choose to have a full refund of any money paid including the deposit, or I will reschedule your party with a discounted rate for the inconvenience.
